PEELS IN GENERAL

These procedures are safe and effective non-invasive ways to improve the appearance of your skin. Peels have the ability to alleviate dull skin, soften fine lines, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, treat acne and minimize acne scars, minimize pore size and lighten hyperpigmentation/brown spots including melasma. Besides the face, these procedures can be performed elsewhere on the body including the hands, back, arms, neck and chest to name a few. These safe and effective procedures take about 30-60 minutes in the clinic. Limited down time can mean different things to different people & each person can react differently. At most you may have redness and flaking, especially around the mouth area, that will resolve in 2-5 days. Remember that ‘no downtime’ does not equate with being less effective. When you are working towards a goal we recommend 4-6 treatments anywhere from 2-5 weeks apart. At the least I recommend a peel with change of seasons for maintenance. A medical grade skincare product program works exceedingly well with peels by advancing the results and maintaining healthier skin. Simply discontinue any retinol containing product about 5-7 days prior to the peel. In the day following the peel, wash as per normal, moisturize and apply sunscreen. Resuming your medical grade products occurs within 2-7 days when the face feels recovered and can handle your regimen.

Following this procedure, skin will undergo its renewal process & moderate peeling may occur over 3-6 days.

It is suitable for all skin types & is categorized as a ‘lunchtime peel’, quick, easy and fast. It leaves the skin smoother, more radiant & less congested. It is possible for some to have a few days of dryness but with excellent outcomes past the 4-6 days.

Gel Peel
